MOST IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
- The race will start at 9:00 promptly on the J-track at Wyvern College, Fair Oak.
- You need to pick up your RACE NUMBER on race day so please leave plenty of time to arrive and make that collection.
- There is very limited parking at the school and so we would encourage all participants to arrive by other means, where possible.
- The wearing of in or over ear headphones or buds is prohibited – this is a road race and the ability of runners to hear our marshals is vital. We reserve the right to stop any runner not complying with this rule.
REGISTRATION
- All runners need to collect their race numbers and timing chips from the Registration Tent on the J Track at the rear of the school. Registration opens at 8.00.
- Please try and remember to bring safety pins for your number, there will only be a limited supply available on the day
- Your timing chip is attached to your race number. Please do not try to pin through the timing strip.
- Do not swap your number with another runner without letting us know. If you fail to do so, we will disqualify that race number. There is a form available on the website for TRANSFERS
- The cut-off date for transfers is Midnight on Thursday the 6th of July 2023.
BAGGAGE AND CHANGING
- There is baggage and changing facilities at the school.
- Whilst the baggage areas are attended throughout the event, runners must note that they leave bags at their own risk.
- The baggage area will open at 8.00 and close at 12.00 so please collect all belongings by this time.
RACE HQ
- Race HQ is at Wyvern College, Botley Road, Fair Oak SO50 7AN.
- There are bike stands onsite
- There will be a drop-off and pick-up zone operating to allow runners to be dropped off before and collected after the race.
- Please follow the instructions of the car parking marshals when you arrive.

- Please note that dogs are not allowed anywhere on the College premises.
THE COURSE
- This race will be run in accordance with UKA Rules and the UKA license is 2023-45368
- The distance is certified accurate – certificate reference 23/215
- The race starts and finishes on the J-Track and is mostly on road for the whole distance.
- There is a short distance on grass at the start and the finish, where runners need to take care.
- There are pavements to negotiate for very short parts of the course – be aware of changing ground levels.
- Although we will endeavour to keep the course traffic-free, there may be vehicles around – follow our marshals’ instructions, particularly if you hear a whistle.
- The course is an out and back, therefore we must ask all runners to keep to the side of the road indicated by the marshals and race signs as runners will be passing each other.
- Please take care as you approach the 5K mark as the turn is sharp.
- All runners will receive a personal time based on the information registered by their timing chip.
- WATER – will be available at approximately 2K, 4k, 6K, 8K and the finish.
AT THE FINISH
- All finishers will receive a medal.

PRIZES
- Trophies will be awarded in the following categories for both Male and Female finishers:
- Overall - 1st, 2nd and 3rd
- V40 - 1st
- V50 - 1st
- V60 - 1st
- Please note that individuals can only receive one trophy. Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd will take priority over a Veteran category.
